I definitely do not mind your 2cents ... I love workarounds cause I learn more and don't lose all my stuff in the process !! ...

I suggest you download this software as well, http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Its a free bundle of programs some are old but still extremely useful and testdisk is also included.
This program will help you with managing your partitions http://www.softwarecasa.com/partition-manager.html?gclid=CMWP8pjIxa0CFYtX7AodZmBIAA

This one is NOT free, but if you can manage to obtain the full version regular or pro, it will definately be worth it.
Hope this helps!

I will definitely try the free hardware first ... and I won't be able to get the ultimate boot cd because our country works off limited cap and as is it I barely scrape through the month on our cap limits ... but I will try get it end of the month ...

I will let u know how the HDD regenerator works out ... the crappy thing is that it is a Samsung drive and seatools doesn't wanna work on it ... so I had no way of actually testing the drive properly ...

I doubt it would be a virus ... I have 1 of the best antiviruses on the market and it updates daily ... sometimes multiple times daily ...

Don't worry if the software provided by Samsung does not work.

When I first started troubleshooting my old WD drive the WD software did not recognize my drive and prior to buying my new drive, the old one worked just fine.

What HDD Regenerator did was repair the bad sectors that it found on my old drive. There is another program that I also used, can't remember the name right now. Its similar to HDD Regenerator. Will post it here once I get home from work.

Definately keep us posted on your progress!

Edit: The other program I used was SpinRite
