I subscribed to your build... so many options available due to the size of the case that it can be overwhelming when trying to decide the layout.

At last,a fellow Stouffviller redface.gif

How much did they charge you for shipping to get it up here?

I wish I would have remembered to look into getting a Case Labs unit instead of an 800D for my current build mad.gif

Stouffville! I just moved up from Markham. I am at 10th and Hoover.

Shipping and handling $156.00 USD!!!!

You will also get dinged for Broker Fees and Canadian Taxes, they use UPS. If they used US Postal Service, it would be a bit cheaper as they don't charge broker fees.

Triebwerk TK-121

- I sourced these from dazmode.com in Canada.
- I will be using them in a Pull configuration for my 2 EX480 rads (I may add a 3rd EX480 depending on how the build progresses and "looks")

- Each of the fans are nicely packaged and maybe a bit overkill, but you know that in transport they are protected.
400

Included in the box:
- M3 and M4 screws and nuts
- each of the fans have two connections allowing you to daisy chain the fans
- the sleeving on them are nice, I wouldn't say at the custom level, but a nice touch.
- I likely won't be retouching these wires
400

Overall Impression
- by no means is this a review
- I connected them all up (to insure they are all working)
- I compared them to a collection of fans I have (including a gentle typhoon 1450 RPM model)
- I am extremely pleased with how quiet they are and the amount of air I could feel with my hand

More to come when they are installed.

XSPC EX480

- sourced these from Dazmode.com
- wanted an efficient yet slim design as these are paired up with the Triebwerk TF-121
- if things changed from the Pull only configuration, I could transition to a Push Pull with TF-121s and reduce the impact on the case with the slim EX480s.
- the reviews online pointed to a very good performer given the size.

Straight Forward Packaging
400

Inside
- they include a complete set of 30mm 6-32 UNC and 6mm 6-32 UNC screws.
- ISSUE for me is that the screws that come with the TF-121s are M3 and M4 screws (more about that later)
400

Double Fin design

Its a ideal fan for RAD if you have space. Its also nice for RAD since you can connect them to each other for no cable mess.

Koolance MB-ASR4E

- I know there were some questions about the milling quality on some of the first batches
- although not perfect, they looked fine for me and didn't look raw or unfinished
- could it have been refined a bit more...sure.
400

Asus Rampage Extreme IV

- again straight forward, plenty of review online
400

400

Removed the associated stock MB cooling components, found this yumminess on the chipset
400

Installed, note the use of the stock "bar/cooling" on the underside.
700

On the TH10 MB Tray
400

Other notes: there were some discussions on the koolance vs the EK block. The Koolance block isn't cooling anything more then the EK, the Koolance is simply taking advantage of one of the mounting holes originally used by the stock cooler.

Subbed. I plan on doing a build like this, but with a msi big bang xpower II, and a ivy bridge.
