[Legit Reviews] NZXT Switch 810 PC Case Announced At CES 2012 - Page 3

Oh good lord, do you people honestly think that they're selling a branded CyberPowerPC case? It's stuff that CPP just shoved into the case. It looks way better than the Phantom does.

I've been wanting to get into water cooling and was going to try and do with with my 650D, but it only holds a slim 240 by default. I thought about the Phantom, but didn't like all the slantly angles. If they end up offering this in black, I will probably jump on it. Though I don't know how well those slots up top will ventilate compared to standard mesh exhaust holes.

That would kill them, almost.

cyberpower eh

the retail dosnt seem too bad though, would hope they do the same thing as they did with the phantom and release multiple color options.

yes, and usually you end up paying about $4000 on top of what the components cost to have a case with an alien on it... and they are usually bulky, ultra flashy cases, this at least looks pretty sleek. not bulgy like the phantom.

think thats what they were going for, phantom is a nice case yes, but... the only thing you can put in the top of it is nzxt's 200mm fans, and leds, there isnt a whole lot of options with it, cept for color schemes. this however has tons of different spots for 120 or 140 fans, and a nice clean design that dosnt look like its trying to claim more of your gaming/working environment than its meant to.

kind of looks like theyve taken notes from lian li on case designs, plus its always nice to have room for a radiator. and now that i look at it, i may select this as my next case, 360 up top and a 24 on the hdd bay, sounds like a winner

I agree. Looks very streamlined and has a ton of nice features. It's a fulltower, has support for 360,240,and 120 rads, removable HDD cages, hidden IO panel... 200 bucks is right about what this case should cost. I'd like to see it maybe 10 bucks cheaper, but overall, this is the most promising case from NZXT ever (and I did like the Phantom, but would never buy one for myself).

Also, how are the front fans supposed to pull in air with that piece of plastic blocking the whole thing?headscratch.gif

im kind of liking the white case looks...curretly trying to figure out my next case. This one...not sure if i like it or not, i do kind of like the look of the control panel on the front but other then that it doesnt really scream "buy me"

There is aluminum mesh behind that bezel on the front. You can see it in the photos. There's more than enough space to pull air into the front on the chassis. Lian Li has done this on several cases as well and it's never been an issue.

Edit: UPDATED OP WITH MORE PHOTOS AND SPECS

The black version arrived today and after a quick look, it seems like a really nice case...and it's huge! There's quite a few details that add to the case as well, and I love little details.
