From XFX's site:

Which products are eligible for a limited lifetime hardware warranty?

The following Graphics Cards are eligible for an extension of the standard two-year limited hardware warranty:

1. XFX Radeon HD 7000 Series Dual Fan (Double Dissipation Edition) Graphics Cards with Ghost Technology; a floating cover design that maximizes airflow by creating exceptional venting throughout the card.

2. XFX Radeon HD 7000 Series Graphics Cards with 10-digit model numbers ending in “R” (example: “FX-797A-TDFR”)

If you register any of the specified products noted above online at http://www.xfxforce.com/ within 30 days of purchase, your limited warranty will be EXTENDED for the duration of your life. Registration within 30 days of the date of purchase is a condition precedent to receiving the lifetime warranty.***

The limited hardware warranty on all XFX-branded products begins on the date of the packing slip, invoice, or receipt. A copy of the dated original invoice/receipt must be submitted to verify warranty repair or replacement. In circumstances where the transaction record is not available or reasonably verifiable (based on date of manufacture), the warranty period shall begin on the date of manufacture of the product.

I noticed this too, the last few days. People are giving the cards 1-3/5 egg reviews,( which are all BAD ratings, in my book.) Sapphire 7970 was where I first noticed this. Heck, even a 4/5 egg review, makes me hesitate. These guys who bought from Sapphire, haven't even received the card yet, or simply don't own it.

I go to Newegg, strictly for the reviews, (mostly). So when the occasional village-idiot comes in, and whines about something they don't have, or received yet, it REALLY irritates me. XFX warranty is a different issues. Prefer reviews of the product, not their paperwork.

Sapphire 7970 said it had 6 Reviews, but when you click the product link, it only shows 3. Read the other reviewers' reasons, and youll see WHY they were deleted thumb.gif

No not the same. That would be like ordering a 7950 and getting a 5770. This is more like the waiter forgetting your side.

Did anyone see the reviews on the FX 8120 when it appeared on Newegg?
Within 12 hours of it appearing the listing was filled with nothing but comments by "faildozer" and "prodozer" people who most likely didn't even have the chip, fighting with each other non the less.

There has to be a line drawn in the sand within a product listing review, Newegg's forum is for that crap.

Product reviews include reviews of the company that produces the product ! Customer service is important should anything ever go wrong with the product. The level of service associated with the product can and should be included in the product review.

Buying something that clearly stated has a lifetime warranty then turns out no to, can and should be commented on. Newegg is blaming XFX for this screw up and XFX is blaming Newegg. I blame them both.

This also.
And then you have a fair share of P.O.ed people who don't understand anything or the box was dented and in a fury of anger/blatant immaturity give the product 1 egg.
And then you have your fan boys. 5 eggs, comment: SOO GOOD BUY IT.
These are the people who shouldn't post anything if they haven't got anything constructive to say.
