I don't know about crossfire, but SLI only works in fullscreen mode. Try using msi afterburner's on screen display to check the GPU usage while in fullscreen.

Run through the basics first:

1. Are you running your games in full screen? Crossfire will not work in windowed mode.

2. Double check in CCC if crossfire is detected and enabled.

Second GPU is always at least 10c hotter because the first GPU is exhausting hot air down onto it. Crossfire is infamous for very poor air cooling performance. You can add a customs shroud to reduce temperatures, or a side fan. However, the only way to fully have good temperatures with crossfire is to add a loop to your cards.

The second is taking in hot air from the top card most likely 15 degree differences are normal I believe. Last dual card setup I had were 8800GT's but I think AMD cards are rated for a lot of heat.

Edit:
Beat me to it...

If you mean why is one much hotter than the other, its because the top card is sucking all the heat off the bottom card, try and get some air flowing between them if you can. smile.gif

the first card is probably exhausting on your bottom card

some cards exhaust out the back of the case, some exhaust into your case (towards your drives) and others draw in from the side and push it down (towards your second slot)

careful planning *can* help with the difference in temps. If you have 2 different cards, maybe switching them around might help with temps if they exhaust the air differently

I don't know about Overdrive, but I know in Afterburner there's an option you can check that allows both cards to act as one, so whatever you do to one card, it does to the other.
