Monitor fades during movies?

Thread Starter
I just got a Dell ST2320L, its a grate LED monitor. Far more clear then my old LCD. It fades to black when watching movies, it does it randomly. Its as if its putting it self to sleep. My windows setting is set on never go to sleep. My LCD did not do this so i know its not my computer. Maybe their is a setting on the monitor that is causing it to fade? When it fades and I click my keyboard our mouse the picture comes back but not immediately.

I don't know whether its much help but I had a similar thing happen, albeit with my Xbox and my TV. It was down to energy saving settings on the TV from what I remember, which when turned off stopped the issue. It something to do with when the image got darker on the screen, it dimmed itself to reduce energy consumption (but not completely into standby as I think you've stated).
