Remove Dos 7.1

Thread Starter
I've follow one of the FAQ, title 'How to install Windows XP from a hard drive without using a floppy or optical drive'
Now, i've 2 partitions; first - NTFS:XP Pro & second - FAT32os 7.1.. i know how to boot directly to XP by editing the boot.ini (the file is in FAT32 partition).. how can i remove the dos 7.1 and make it the partition merge to XP partition..is it all system file in FAT32 must transfer to NTFS drive?..currently the computer has partition D (NTFS) Logical and partition C (FAT32) Primary Active (based on viewing in Partition Magic 7)..anyone can solve this problem..thanks a lot

just delete the dos files from the system and merge the partitions together.. make sure the boot.ini and other system file for xp are on the main drive that your booting from.. and edit it so it does point to your current partition or youll be stuck again..
