hello, as the title says, i am a n00b in overclocking, so maybe some of you guys could help me with it. yesterday, i tried to overclock myself and it was a FAIL!!!! i tried to get 3.8 ghz on 4.25 volts, and got a bsod (stop 124) i then increased the vcore to 4.5 and still got a bsod (stop 101). (and for some reason the voltage in cpu-z was 4.7! is that normal?) so i tried to down my multi to 3.7 ghz with 1.45 volts and again got a bsod (stop 101). i didn't touch the nb multi or volts, is it becasue of that??? i did tighten the ram timings to 9-9-9-24-1T, which is the stock except the 1T but for some reason when i clear the cmos, it returns to 9-9-9-28-2T. i did disable amd cool n quiet and c1e. so can any of you help me with reaching 3.8 or even 4 ghz:D
thanks thumb.gif

EDIT:
i am using the hyper 212+ with two CM 90 CFM blue led fans in push pull. my stock temps are 28 idle and 45 load.
EDIT 2:
I have the C3 revision of the CPU and updated bios.

The voltage increase you are seeing is normal.

Read some amd overclocking guides and get your NB multi up one at least.

Don't tighten your RAM timings until later when you have your cpu/NB overclock sorted out,

run RAM at stock timings and voltage to begin with.

ok, thanks for that, but isnt 4.7 bit too much for 3.7 ghz???
