Leadtek 7300 gt ?Limits?

Thread Starter
I have a Leadtek 7300gt and currently got it @551Mh/456Mh from 400/350 stock w/no artifacts. I want to push it harder but it seems I clock it higher and performance drops(8935 to 8109 3dmark03). Isuspect it has to do with the Vcore. I probably could push the memory harder but the heatsink on it dont cover the mem and I dont want to fry it. Any suggestions? How hard has some1 pushed it on stock cooling?

If performance drops then you hit your limit. It's when it clocks too fast (in ref to stock) that generate errors.

My 7300GT went up to around 580/420 if I remember correctly, it was a PoW. I think a Vmod would be of much use because even that OCed (stock core it was 400MHz I think) it was cool with that mini-hsf. If you manage to Vmo it it should go past 600MHz, but here you're on your own. I've talked to Shamino from power-vr.com and he said there are not too many 7300GT owners that have tried to Vmod their cards and there are no guides available.
Good luck.

Just so you know... a 7300 is still an entry-level card. Even overclocked, it is still very slow so don't expect major gains.
Once again...
