What I could do with 6k would be unbelievable lol.

No, but seriously, you could have got an amazing computer with an 2500k, 7970, ect.. for 3/4 the price. Spend the rest of the money on games, tree, better internet, upgrading car I'd turbo my s2000 for sure.. biggrin.gif

I've come to the conclusion that I need pics or this is a flamebait thread. (and I'm falling for it hard)

Hell, I'd get my sig rig minus the 560s and add the new 7 series ATI and you'd still have 2k for escorts.

if he goes with x79 board you wanna go with 64GB of RAM and take advantage of the RAM disc.

Also, dont go with SATA SSD's, go with PCIe SSDs. You can put two of them in raid and still have trim enabled. New Revo drives

Good for you. Don't be discouraged by other people's negative comments. It seems you have better money management than most adults.

You worked hard to save up all that money only to blow it all on a computer? Not to discourage you mate, but spend 1.5K tops on the rig and save the rest for uni. With 1500$, you'd get a capable monster which would hold out for a decent period of time. The cost of uni/tuition is criminal these days and you should have some of that cash earmarked for the future. Take your girl out, buy your friends a few beers and throw the rest into a savings account. Trust me.

P.S. - i'll give you a rep if you loan me 700$ biggrin.gif
