Also if you are only putting 1 7970 in you system I think a 700W - 850W PSU is sufficient and you can spent extra money on quality.

I heard Otherwise...

You do get a small increase in performance, but not enough to merit the price. You might as well use it as OS and storage.

And op, if you are serious about the budget, get the 3970x and an x79. Or even better and wait for the Sr3 and get dual xeons. But case wise, return that and get something like case labs as someone has stated.
Crossfire that 7970, and be happy. You don't need to spend that much, 1000USD is more than enough for a high end gaming build.

for that money, if you dont get a LGA 2011 processor/board with custom watercooling and at least a GTX 580, I will hunt you down.

I will not get the Level GT, it is seriously impractical, hard to build in, rather hideous imo, and just horrible in performance.

I would much rather get the TJ07/TJ11/800d/650d.

If you really like the ThermalTake level 10 case then get it and don't listen to what anyone else is saying. It's a good case and it's the only part of the computer you're going to see on a regular basis so it should be something you personally like.

Consider getting some nice speakers for the PC with some of that cash. They won't go obsolete, so it's good to get yourself a pair for all your future PC's to enjoy while you have this cash.

+1 on anti TT level 10 there are much better cases for around that price tag

With 5-6000 Id go for the max when it comes to a luxury tower.

Silverstone TJ11
Silverstone TJ07
Lian Li PC-X2000F
Lian Li PC-A77F

ANYTHING MDPC http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/

I recommend Wood/aluminum/stained glass/ carbonfiber and stay away from plastic/steel/acrylic

There is also a Japanese company that may rival Mountain mods/Little Devil/XSPC/Corsair 800D/Danger Den
I forget the name of it but I have seen beautiful things

For now 7970 graphic card > 580 two or three could fit that price

Platinum/Diamond rated power supply

Intel is a much much better purchase than AMD cpu's

Check out a nice NEC IPS or S-PVA monitor ( id probably go as far as 3 U3011's) and spend the other $3000 on your computer

That bulldozer will definitely get CPU bottle necked running a 7970.

I don't see how anyone would go with a FX-8150 rather than a 2500k if its clearly a gaming rig..
Anyway, with such an enormous budget I'd be looking at a SB-E 6-core rig (since you really seem to want to spend your full budget on this) and two if not three 7970's.
hellboy_101's list is a pretty good and decent base that you can take and expand to your budget / needs.
