NNNNOOOOO WWWWWAAAAYYYYYY
Go with intel dude like Core i7 3930k
performs just as well as 3960X except smaller cache or just go with the 3960X cuz u can
and get the pampage 4 extreme some motherboard beast.
if u want something around the fx-8150 price instead of i7 3930k: $600+
get i7 2700k shud be way more then u probably wud need.
if u watercool get silverstone tj11b pricey case but its beast for watercooling

He already went with Intel and bought most of the hardware. People need to take the time to go through the previous pages and get caught up or not post. As for the 8150 thats another debate some people like them and some people don't, If the CPU was cheaper I would buy one today but I'm going to wait for Piledriver. tongue.gif

AMD FX needs improvment but isn't as bad as poeple in these forums make it out to be, do some research before hand plaese. thumb.gif

At first I saw the thread title and immediately, a song started playing in my head: the troll song.

With the pics..... can't say anything except: how can you spend 7k without having an insane custom water cooling system?

Looking forward to seeing more in this thread, hope you decide to go on with a detailed build log. thumb.gif

Good luck!

He has already purchased his system... So your posts are kinda pointless. Threads should be read before posted in or at least the last couple pages. Then you might know whats going on.

Different strokes for different folks.

I already have a 50" LED 3D 7000 series samsung and a quality klipsch sorround sound. And I just spent 5k on my rig, so what? People hate too much on this site. Let the man do what he wishes with his own hard earned money thumb.gif

I hate how the word troll has become so trendy on forums rolleyes.gif

Agreed, The OP seems to doing fine and it's his money not ours and alot of people spend extra money on there hobby, I would spend 5k easily (if I had it) but the kids suck it up before I have chance. mad.gif

And ya I've been guilty of using troll alot lately myself, I need to work on that.

PS, Saw your rig, and holy ****, It looks SWEET. thumb.gif

My rig cost about $2100-$2200. And the one you are building doesn't seem a whole lot better. I still got more GPU power. I'm at $2100, you're at $3400, and I'm not that impressed with what you're getting for $3400, lol.

My PSU is a bit overkill, but I got a decent deal on it, and I will definitely use it on my next build.

For $5000, you should be doing a crazy rig with at least tri-crossfire 7970s, SB-e CPU, and everything water cooled/overclocked. Even with that you would still probably be under budget.
