if you want something decent and lasting, raise your budget abit and look at a noctua nh-d14 at about $85
even spend a few bucks more on better fans if need be thumb.gif

I don't know if its a price difference for different countries, but at $45 that would definitely not be worth it! If it is because of that, its strange the 212 is double the price as here and the higher end coolers are almost the same price.

well actually $45 is the CM hyper 212 EVO price on newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

while the CM Hyper 212+ is about $30 on newegg

now that the OP showed the site where he is buing from i now say the CM hyper 212+ Non EVO model is the best bang for buck where he is a approx $30, i would recomend the CM hyper 212 EVO or something similar price if they stocked it smile.gif

I will just get a 212+ and do a push and pull setup and he will be fine. Just wait till is on sale for $20 on newegg or check amazon. 2nd fan newegg has it for $8.99 free shipping.

I have my 212+ on my i5 2500k @ 5.0 Ghz 24/7

If so, then the Evo or non - evo would be a better choice if compared among these two CM 212's?

My personal question regarding about this thread

If I were to consider a Megalahem, Ven-x, Noctua NH-U9B SE 2 and the 212 + for a 2500k system as well, 4.5Ghz ++, which one would be the better choice?
The CM hyper 212 evo has better heat pipes and improved heat transfer plate (i think its called) that contacts with the cpu over the standard CM hyper 212.

Out of the units you listed for bang for buck budget i would get the CM hyper 212 + or the noctua nh-u9b se2 if you want to spend abit more and noctua make arwsome air coolers thumb.gif

awsome budget coolers that will take to 4.5GHz smile.gif

He's such a stubborn guy, he still ain't convinced yet with all the comments posted ... mad.gif but there is something that caught my mind when he talked about this " How about the Scythe Mugen 2?" Yea, that's the question. I bet he wouldn't mind if it still performs cooler than the 212 + tongue.gif
