IDE with SATA

Thread Starter
So I got 2 SATA hard drives in RAID 1 and I'm hoping to add a 10 gig IDE into the mix. The BIOS recognizes it but not Windows XP... Even Everest finds it, and so does device manager, but it doesn't show up in My Computer. Is it just that I need to format it?? Can't XP find an unformated drive?

Thanks

Go to administrative tools in the control panel, then device manager, computer management and then disk management and enable it

If the drive is new or has been completely written to 0s then you need to right click my computer then go to manage. After that you will see a storage option, click that then you should see disk management go to that and you should see the drive there and then you have to create a new partition and format it.
