It can run games well because it doesn't have to put up with XP or anyother applications. It is dedicated to the gaming aspect so it isn't that bad. The XBOX 360 GPU is similar to an X1800XL, but it still runs Oblivion fine.

The PS2 has a 233mhz chip (128bit) and runs games very nicely. Haven't you learned that clock speed is not everything?

Also, You can change the cpu on an xbox. There used to be a site that sold mother boards that already had a faster cpu, but i cant remember the site.
