So if I buy a brand new car and the day I drive it off the lot it overheats. Your telling me I have to go out and mod my car so it performs like it should have from the very begining? Geta grip, people that are obsessed with modding and tinker with electronics then believe it makes a diffrence buy this kinda stuff.

If it doesn't work take it back. Ever hear of the BBB? I know microsoft has and thats why they replace your consol if its fualty. People payed good money for these units and they are expected to preform as advertized.

If your gona roll over and let microsoft take advantage of you and buy this cheezy little device then go right ahead. I'm not.

They are really stupid!
Maybe triyng to get a lawsuit....
My PS2 wonce started to smell like it was melting....
I never left her turned on more that 2 hours since then.....
The 360 is using 90nm die technology (hot). In warm ambient temperatures and heavy gameplay....yeah, they can go up in smoke. OOPS! Next year, they are moving to 65nm tech. That should cool everything down.

I think M$ really believed that the PS3 was a threat so they released earlier than they should have. Wow, what a BIG miscalculation that was!!!!

no this thread is pointless. You just proved what i've been saying the entire time. Take it back because they will if it overheats. You don't need to buy this junk to solve the problem when microsoft will take it back. Thats what i've been saying the entire time. TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE IT.... don't you get that?

plus the small internal drop in temp in your xbox is not going to make a diffrence in how stable it is. What will make a diffrence is if the thing is blistering hot inside, in which case you need to rma it. Don't patch microsofts error with a device you have to buy.

Reviews of products like these add-ons say it will increase prefromance and increase life of the console even though they cant prove it. Its just what the manufacture of the cooler tells the distributer to put in the discription to get you to buy it. One review even said they don't know whether to recomend it or not if your having issues with your xbox. Because even though the temps droped 5C they don't know if its really solving the problem. In the end alot of xbox's that run hot or warm work just fine. Most Xbox's hang up and crash because of the power supply overheating not the unit it self.

These cooling devices are a gimmick, and these 3rd party companies are getting a ride out of microsofts error by hyping there product that it will solve all problems. When theres hardly any real proof that anyone had a defective xbox and used one of these coolers to solve the problem.

And whats even funnyer is other manufactures that build devices for the inside of the xbox say that the external devices suck. hmmm,, do you understand that these companies will say anything about their compitition and lie to you to get you to buy their product.

""Also in today is a high-speed internal cooling fan solution for the Xbox 360 overheating problems. The manufacturer's hype claims the following: "External Xbox 360 air coolers can only cool the temperature of the Xbox 360's outer surface but do not cool the temperature of the CPU/GPU; therefore, making them useless to combat CPU/GPU overheating.""

This is just a clame from the manufacturer. But its Proof of hype they are all using to get you to buy a product.

So in the end no body really knows if these coolers do anything, so why buy it when you can return your xbox.

k well if you can prove it helps, i'll order one myself. I was only conserned with the main function of the product and that was the cooling, but yes the extra plugs can be nice, i guess.
