Rep system has changed =)

Try the Sunbeam NUUO for your power supply.

why two motherboards

Get the DS3, 965P. The G has onboard video, and you don't want that. And you don't want an nForce board for an Intel platform

I would like to see a better video card. Is there a way to put up with onboard sound and get the soundcard later?

For $200 you can get a 7900GS or an X1900GT.

For motherboards I advise getting the Gigabyte if you intend to overclock that beast. Or if you want to later on upgrade to SLI then go for the Asus.

Since your getting a dedicated Sound Card you may as well just go for the cheaper motherboard then.

Any chance he'll do SLI?

This Gigabye S3 also is a nice cheaper choice

I just edited my previous post. I'd like to see a 7900Gs or X1900GT at least. Those cards run for $200... and for $250, you can get a full blown X1900XT, but that might be a little too much. I'd put off the soundcard, and upgrade video.

do you think that's wise? the Realtek ALC883 7.1 onboard in my opinion wont bring the best out of those Z2300s?

Get the soundcard later. Obviously onboard is not the best.

However, if you opt for the cheaper board, that saves you $30, and get an Antec TPII for $89.99, which saves another $20, that brings you close to the cards I mentioned without offering the soundcard.
