Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any of the Corsair H series liquid coolers. If so what are you're opinions about them? good?bad? What CPU and temps are you getting from them?

Thanks biggrin.gif

A lot of people have them. There are so many of them now you have to be specific in which one you are looking for. H80/100 are very good.

Lots of guys have them. I used to. They perform about equal to high end air cooling as a rule of thumb, but nowhere near a true custom loop.

more specifically H60, H80 and H100. Anandtech did a review on them and they seemed like like them all. The h80 on medium fan speed seemed to be only couple of degrees C lower than H60. So I was wondering if it was even worth paying extra for H80 or H100 if I am not going to OC (or maybe just a teeny tiny bit tongue.gif) . I was wondering what others were getting with temps.

i have an H 100 and it is not worth the money, i am at 46C default clock with prime running on all twelve threds of a i7 3930k processor, when oc'ed the processor temps quickly jump to almost 60 before i even hit 5GHz, i would advise spending a bit more and getting a water cooling loop set up for your pc.

That being said i do have an H 100 for sale...

But you have to remember, on a budget it's worth it. Not everyone has $250-300 to get a custom loop started.

And my H80 has done pretty well for me. I don't OC anymore, but it keeps my 2600k 30c idle/40c load, so I would say it's decent. Plus they just look a lot better than having a huge high end air cooler smashing out of the case. And for the same or about the same price, it's worth it.

Ive owned a H50 and currently on a H100. I find its more than satisfactory for my needs.

Having said that, I may consider something else when I make the upgrade move to SB / IB... if the H100 no longer cuts it.

Its a nice niche cooler. its not for everyone and generally, if its set up correctly, it works as advertised. thumb.gif

i had asked corsair about how i set it up (if it was correct and they agreed that it was) and they said that my cpu may just be abmormal in that it puts out more heat.

I've been debating getting a H80 as well, they seem to be your best bet before spending the big bucks on a custom loop.
like others have mentioned, it cools just as well if not better than those huge bulky aircoolers, and it looks clean and simple.
