This was mentioned in another thread where someone proceeded to explain how that is very unlikely. i'll post the thread when I find it.

What motherboard would that be?

Anybody know how to contact Sapphire by phone in the US? I can't seem to find it anywhere on their website.

Weather on air or water I don't think many people are going to be seeing any higher than 1200-1300Mhz on 7970's.

I have a MSI p55 GD-65, and I have a single 5850 installed. GPUZ is reading PCI-E 2.0x16@x16 2.0. So with a single card you will have full pci-e 2.0 16x, and with 2 cards you will have PCI-E 2.0 x8.

Hmm, okay. Power saving might be causing it to get bumped down to 1.1?

If you are unsure just go into the bios and reset it too default. I see no way you would be able to have the pci-e lane running at 1.1 ? What bios version are you running on the board ?

Just PM me, ill help you. We just sorta hijacked this dudes thread.

GPU-Z is reading it wrong...
CCC is reporting PCI-E 2.0 x16 for me and GPU-Z reads it as 1.1.

Well, it's 28nm, so high voltage could cause leaking and/or some interference?
