Zotac H67-ITX Wifi + i5 2500 + Boxed Cooler = weird temps in Speedfan

Thread Starter
Hey, i (more or less) just fired up my new build.

Using the components in the topic, Speedfan now shows 60C for System, 124C for CPU (i'm just surfing...) and 60C for SMIOVT4, SMIOVT5 and SMIOVT6 (*** is that?)
Cooler feels cool, but when i was installing (and moving around files, prior to windows-installation, using ubuntu from usb-stick), it was warm (so there seems to be a good contact between CPU and Cooler).
Southbridge (or, whateverbridge, ITX-Board has only one) is warm, but not hot.

i'm kinda worried :/

Can you take a picture of your system? Boxed cooler = stock cooler?

Sounds like your monitoring program is not compatible with your motherboard.
Try something different.

Everest
core temp
real temp
etc...

at 124C, your system would have been long shut down from its own protections.

That being said, check and double-check that the CPU cooler is making good contact

I detest Speedfan with a vengeance.

Use Real Temp (for core temps) or HWiNFO64 (system and core). Much more accurate and both are portable (no installer).

Yep, stock cooler was meant.
450

Just re-checked the temps with CPUID PC Wizard 2010, gives me
- Core temps between 36°C and 38°C
- GPU temp around 42-43°C (Speedfan gives the same temp here)
