CPU fan error on Asus P6T Deluxe with H80

So I just put in my H80 nice and easy to instal but I plug the 3 pin into the mobo and nothing...... so i unplug it and use the other fan connector Im getting a CPU fan error when I boot my comp and my fan are quit but every couple of mins, push out serious air and get loud maintaining temps at 30-33 idle someone please help me out do I need to plug both the adaptors in at the same time what do i do????

Asus P6T Deluxe
I7 950 3.06 gig
Corsair H80
EVGA GTX 570
Corsair PSU 750 watts
6 Gigs Corsair Ram
All in an Azza Solano 1000

plug a fan into the cpu fan header..for sure..under hardware monitoring..set all fan profiles to manual..and a percentage..

I have both fans pluged into my cpu header and the other cord conected to a different plus what is a good percentage to set them too
