I'm looking at two motherboards:

Which is better for high overclocking stability? Or should I keep looking for another board? I'm not totally sure what to look for.

Should I keep looking or will the 990FXA do what I want? How high can I expect to overclock the FX-8150? Can I get it to 5 ghz on this board?

the gigabyte one for am3+
IMO ..best ..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131736 i had it..FANTASTIC mobo!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138341 also good!

really the biostar is all you need..

why am3+? i would wait and see what amd brings to the table next...probably in a few months

getting to 5ghz..=NOT easy..or stable :lachen.gif:

4.6-4.8 can be done,though thumb.gif (stable)

IMO..it would take an fx chip 5.4 GHZ to equal 4.4 thuban/deneb in performance

I thought the FX processors required am3+. Don't they?

If FX isn't the best, which processor would you recommend then? I'd like an eight core.
