umm standby is a no go,firstly the led is so bright and blinks every second annoyingly and secondly i can't get the pc to come out of it lol i havent figured out why as i never used standby much

thanks for the instructions fishie but i know how to use it,just wonder if it'd really be worth using it

those Electric Usage Monitor are on ebay for like 18gbp so i might buy one,just to settle this and save my pc from persecution

well 3 fridges will suck the power...if they're old, especially...also the TV...if it's not a new tv (lcd, or similar) it's using lots of power....CRTs are BIG hogs.

My suggestion goes to turn off the monitor when you're leaving your computer.
That is even if it's just for getting some water/coke/whatever.

Oh right, yeah I'd say it's worth it. Have one of those watt meters and it saved me about 50 watts idle (went from about 150watts to 100watts).

You can change the FSB all you want, but yeah the voltage and multiplyer can't be changed.
