2nd Stinky's solution. That's exactly what I did when I got my small SSD.
One thing to be sure about--you can change where the "my documents" and other libraries are mapped to (i.e., to your HDD), but the "My Documents," "My Music," "Downloads," "My Pictures," and "My Videos" folders in your user directory on your C drive will still be there (and cannot be moved, to my knowledge). This is important to keep in mind because some programs, such as Chrome or Firefox, do not look at your "Libraries" mapping for where to save files, and instead default to the appropriate folder in your "Users" directory. If you manually choose the directory to save everything, then it's not a problem. But just keep an eye on these folders on occasion, as sometimes stuff gets dumped to them by default, as opposed to your library mapped folders.

Move user folder locations to Secondary HDD:
- Right click your folder (ex. My pictures)
- Click Properties
- Click the Location tab
- Change the destination to your other HDD (ex. D:\Pictures)
Note 1: Recommended, I do this myself for my user folders (ex. My Documents, My pictures, Desktop, etc.)
Note 2: If there are two of the same folder after the move (ie. My Documents "A" and My Documents "B") you should delete the empty one located on the C: drive. (May need to go into safe mode to delete it)
Note 3: If the folder already exists that you are linking it to you may want to merge the folders.

If you're talking about the user profile you need to have administrator access. Copy your user folder (C:\Users\[username]) to some other location and then open regedit and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Look for a key called ProfileImagePath and edit the path information to the place you moved your profile to. This works best when you have done a clean OS install before installing or running anything else because it's putting stuff in your profile's appData folder.
The simple way to relocate file locations is to just modify the my documents, my music, my whatever folder locations to alternate paths.

Question regarding moving the My Docs folder from the C: drive to an HDD drive
If I have game saves or anything relevant to a game that is uses while ingame, does it automatically recognize the my documents folder move?
