It was directed at comments and misleading assumptions through accuracy that set you off as a Fanboy. These threads are all over the place becoming like this -- "It's not that much of an increase. I get 25fps on my GTX 580 and 34 on my 7970" and don't really know that it's a big increase in performance.
I've run ATI/Nvidia based upon performance, price and the components themselves such as how hot they run, how well they overclock. how much power they use and so on.
Because of that reason, I stuck with AMD/ATI for quite a while because of the price performance they offered -- I switched to Nvidia with the GTX 580 because the cards ran cooler, overclocked as well, the prices were pretty decent (for what you're getting), they also idled pretty low.
ATi had no advantage over Nvidia last gen --- This gen, so far, there is no reason to buy a GTX 580 unless you're a die hard fan boy. It gets beat pretty handily AT EVERYTHING even in games that FAVOR Nvidia
And, drivers are only going to get better while the Nvidia's won't get much bigger improvements.
