GTX570 Vs twin frozr II 560ti

Thread Starter
So a buddy just recently got a 7970 and has a eVga Classified GTX570 he is selling. He's offered to give me his card for my MSI twin frozr II 560TI, and $150.

How does the 570 classified compare to my current carD? and is it a good deal?

MSRP wise, the 570 is only $100 more than the 560 Ti. I would not give a penny more than that if I were you even if it's the Classified version.

Performance wise, you should see a nice increase.

Hmm I do owe him $40, and i was going to charge $150 to sell my card....but it seems like I'll be basically giving him full retail for his card.

You could probably sell your 560Ti for ~$180. So if you add $150 on top of that it would be like you're paying $330 for his card. Not exactly what I'd call a deal...let alone from a "buddy".

Yeah, thats a rubbish deal tongue.gif

Especially given that a decent overclock on a 560Ti will bring it to stock 570-ish performance, and the 570s don't overclock wonderfully.

Not worth the upgrade tbh. Only a 580 is a significant upgrade for you, and even then it'd still be worth waiting for the 600/700 series or whatever comes next from nVidia :s

I am not sure but is it not possible to do the SLi hack on AMD boards? or is it intel only? You might want to look into that smile.gif
