Trouble unlocking cores on 990FX chipset

I don't know about 90% of the community here but myself and a few others have had trouble unlocking cores on select AMD CPU's on the 990FX chipset. For example, I once had a AMD Phenom II X2 555 that was unlocked to X4 @ 4.0Ghz stable for over 7 months of heavy usage but upon insertion into the Asus Sabertooth 990FX, Gigabyte UD3 990FX, and the Asus M5A99X Evo was greeted with a successful unlock but would not boot into windows and would immediate give BSOD and would reset the computer. The same can be said with the 960T (the one in my current build).

If anybody has had similar trouble or solutions please post here as I would like to gather as much information as I can into one thread so it has the potential to be helpful to other with the same issues. thumb.gif

Processors Tested:
AMD Phenom II X2 555 (Unlocks to X4 B55 @4.0Ghz 1.42v 100% stable)
AMD Phenom II X4 960T (Unlocks to X6 1600T @4.0Ghz 1.55v 100% stable)

Motherboards Tested:
Asus Sabertooth 990FX (No successful unlock)
Asus M5A99X-EVO (No successful unlock)
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (No successful unlock)
Asus Crosshair IV Formula 890X (Unlocked both 555 and 960T successfully)
Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 785G(X2 555/ X4 B55 tested only)
