Very nice! I'm interested to see what they have in store for the next few months and get to see some of the new releases.

That looks VERY similar to a GT, right down to the housing.

295

Same injection moulding marks, same blades (can't see if the notches are there), same hub size.

Given Swiftech's penchant for re branding things with slight improvements I would say that this is a Nidec Servo GT-AP 15 equivalent (or new model?) with the blades painted white and a small cover over the top of the hub (or a slight re-design).

I hope that they have their supply line sorted out so that they are more available than Scythe's re-brand. I do like the white blades compared to the grey ones, I wonder if there are any other invisible changes, like in the motor for example.

Fancy getting the old test rig out again Martin? I'd be willing to donate the fan when they become available (got my Paypal working this time).

Edit:

Looking again it seems that there are some differences; the notch for the wire is in a slightly different place, the indents in the housing are slightly different, the hub size does look slightly smaller and the corners are rounded and open (yey), not chamfered and closed.

Either a different design by Nidec Servo or a very close copy.

I like the white blades. It would look great with my build, but I'm happy with my GT AP15's for now. Anyhow... since my sleeving has grey and black... it goes well with the GT gray blades.

Looking good, as long as they have stock in most of the shops and its cheaper, and performs at about the same level, it should be a good alternative...

I own eight Gentle Typhoon's (1850rpm) and they feel very sturdy and screams high build quality with a perfectly balanced center motor hub, they spin almost forever even after the power has been cut, I just don't see a 120mm fan dethroning the GT's anytime soon! The Helix needs to have the fan blades black instead of white, you must admit it does look like a knockoff and I'm 100 percent sure everyone had that thought cross their minds at first look!

What is a Z-bearing? Apparently Z means it has a steel shield on one side of the bearing. I am guessing ball bearings with a steel shield.
