5970 WaterBlock Issue

Thread Starter
SO after spending a lot of time today installing my water block on my new GPU I have come to a road Block two things are holding me up. First with the stock back plate installed my bits power compression fitting will not fit and secondly the instructions are telling me to use a spacer on the copper side only between the copper block and the fitting. Here is a picture of my current setup without the Spacer installed on the plug.

How important are those spacers(I think they are meant for fittings with longer threads)?
I am considering getting a 45 degree angled fitting to resolve the issue with mounting the bits power fitting to the block what do you think I should do?

Thanks

You may just want to take off the stock backplate. Im willing to bet an aftermarket backplate like EK's would allow for some room for the barbs.

Get some 5mm extensions? BP compressions are really wide so it's a typical issue with them.

Just get an extension and you will be fine. You dont need to use the spacer. The spacer is required for those fittings where the thread is longer, which is not the case for bitspower.
