I have the AS5, and I think that stock cooler will be good for now. It doesn't really need to be overclocked anyway. I think that I will probably go w/ chozart's recommedation on the Super Talent. any other ideas??

AS5 is a MUST, stock thermal pads on C2D HSF doesn't even cover the entire surface of the CPU. I've built a few C2D systems since they've hit the market and if you keep the stock goo, you'll find that C2D running way warmer than they are suppose to.

Man, I'm slow tonight

I think we've covered most of the bases there Frankie. You're friend will have a definate winner for awhile.

Yeah, hook up a DX10 GPU once they drop down in price to about $250 and they should be step for quiet a while, shouldn't really lag until games come out with 16xSAA & 24xAF @ 2160p.

One more question, I just saw this on under the specs on newegg while I was looking at the mobo it says...

"Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets"

does this mean that the memory that I ordered is not going to work on this mobo, should i try and see if newegg can exchange it?
