How are the projects you receive determined?

Basically what the title says. I know I'm new to this but the 6 I've completed have all been Amber core. I've read of many other people getting other types and was just wondering how it determines what to give you

The folding software runs a quick benchmark on your system, checks the settings for your folding software (flags, >5 MB transfers, etc.) and assigns you a WU based on those as well as the needs of the research program. It's not unusual to see almost every WU you get for a week or two be from one project as it approaches a deadline. It's also not strange to see a relatively slow and a relatively fast system get the same WU.

There's nothing you can do to get any particular WU, but the faster system with the more intensive settings tend to get the better WUs.

Thanks, I did check the allowing of larger than 5mb box so hopefully I'll get something different

heh if im only getting 153 points for amber and 600 for gromac it would take me forever to come close in score lol. Guess I'm only going so far up the ladder if you guys are getting those kinda points for WU's. Ohh well LOL
