Yeah should be fine, I have mine set to 1.70 at 4.9ghz. On my old 2500k me and munaim started off going lower on our PLL voltages after a handy tip from someone in the sandy bridge stable club.

Lowest I got to stable was 1.6125v. For some people they have better luck including me (on my old chip) with the lower PLL voltage.

I've tried pretty much everything in this thread. Here's the result:

43x: 100% stable at 1.3v
44x: Posts but hangs during bootup at any voltages.
45/46x: Fails to post.

EDIT:

HOLY CRAP THIS WORKED! I have no idea why.. maybe 44x, 45x, and 46x are just broken on my chip? I never though to try over 46x...

So yea... running at 4.7GHz now. Time to try some stress testing I guess.

EDIT2: Died after 15 seconds of Prime95. Giving it a little more vcore and trying again.

have you considered investing in another board? I had the Extreme4 gen3 and it was giving me hell, booting ram issues, dr debug 45 code..... after 3days of messing w/ it I gave in, and traded it for the Asus board in my sig now and made it to 4.5ghz @ 1.28 first try, no ram issues, it just worked.
