Im at 3.8 ghz with turbo boost or whatever on my i7 2600k so do you know any good settings? i think the minimum voltage on my cpu is 1.1v but im not sure. would i really need to anyway? the main thing i dont like is that i cant run my computer to its full capabilities because my pos psu is holding it back. even if i undervolt games will probably sitll crash at maxed setting. i dont even know if its safe running this psu since its pretty much always at 100% capacity or usage...
also, would you recommend this psu?

You're making the right decision! biggrin.gifthumb.gif
bigger=mo' bettah
you may want to underclock/undervolt in the meantime :thinking.gif:
Get a good psu with a single 12v rail.You won't regret it

why a single 12v rail?

I managed to run STO for about 10 min before my computer crashed, new record lol.. I know this is very off subject and their is probably another topic on it but any help is appreciated. While I was playing STO maxed I started noticing a weird smell Comping from my case, its not a burning smell more of a chemical/rubbery sort of smell. I smelt the exhaustvent on my gpu to make sure it wasn't that, and surprisingly it wasn't my psu, so I'm pretty sure its coming from the CPU area. The only thing I can think of is that its my new cooler and thermal paste breaking in. I just got a new cooler and haven't ran it at any high temps yet so what do you think? Also allmy temps were normal nothing was overheating

Just ordered Corsair TX V2 i believe that is what it was, it should be plenty for now once i upgrade to tri sli i might think about getting a 1000-1200 watt psu but for now 850 is good enough, I also mentioned earlier in this thread that i would find a way to destroy my old power supply so me and my friend went out today and destroyed it with a .22 rifle and a 22 gauge and i uploaded it to youtube so if anyone wants to see it ill post the link below. thanks to everybody for all your help and advice.
