Sure, I'm not thrilled with managing two different services, I'd love for it to be all in one place, but that's simply not going to happen. All EA is doing is trying to protect their IP. The day Valve allows a service like Origin to provide a game like Half-Life 3 without requiring Steam
is the day I'll equally hate on Origin like all you crazy people.
Currently @ 128 games installed on Steam btw, vs. only 2 for Origin (BC2 and BF3). As long as its only the absolute biggest EA blockbusters that require Origin, I really don't have a problem with it.

yeah, because Valve has proven to be 100% secure...oh wait, they just got hacked a couple months ago, heck, a buddy of mine got his account jacked and someone bought a whole bunch of games from his account and when he contested the charges, Valve just shut his account down, took over a month of him constantly harassing Valve before he finally got his account back.
On the flip side I've only ever had pleasant and very easy exchanges with EA and Origin, heck, got Dead Space 2 for free by simply asking them for it when they had a BF3 preorder promotion where they gave Dead Space 2. The catch was I had already preordered BF3 long before the promo.
