It just so hard for me to buy a PS now. $250 is nothing for me. Its a amazing device i give it that. Back when PSP fist came out in 2004 i used its as a music and video play and even as web browser. There where not much smart phones back in the day. Now i got a powerful phone that can play 1080p, has 4G, play some games, music, browsing and when i want something with more easy input and better viewing experience i use my Tab. Now Vita could be amazing for gaming but thats about it. I find next to no valid argument to buy it. Considering there will not be much games at launch and between PC, laptop, TAB, phone there is no place for it. I can see someone trying to play on the go and i did try and never played more then 10 mins at a time. I think PSP is not going to do so well with current market today.

I've never viewed dedicated handhelds as devices that must be played on the go. Between the Game Boy, PSP and everything in between, 99% of my gaming on them has been at home. They're essentially regular consoles to me, with the luxury to game on the go.

I also don't really find their lack of functionality outside of gaming to be much of a downside. Everyone has a phone these days, but that doesn't mean there's no room for specialized devices. They're made entirely with gaming in mind and they accomplish this better than any other device.

And yes, I'm well aware that the mobile market is largely made up of more casual gamers that favor convenience and accessibility over deep gameplay experiences, but that doesn't mean the minority can't make up a sizable market worth pursuing (i.e. PC gaming).

Five hours maximum is not so great, That means if I sit down to finish a game in the evening I am guaranteed to run out of power. As other's have said though, I still do most of my gaming on portables at home, so maybe it's only the theoretical possibility of running out of power in one evening that bothers me...
And then I look up what the battery life of my 3DS is. It's the same, which makes Vita look amazing.

Ok im excited like everyone else, but I need a answer. Is Ruin a launch title for the vita as in a day 1 title? Or any RPG? RPGs are my thing.

I said in my previous post - that is the largest~ and best~ launch selection of games since..... I can't even remember when. Last gen of platforms, if that.

The PSP never did well with the market in the US. Before smart phones. What does that matter?
Also, what does watching 1080p on a phone have anything to do with it? Your phone display can't show 1080p, it's a complete waste of pixels/hardware/space/battery life. The Vita can too by the way (support for 1080p files is coming).

You find no "valid" argument - I can find a ton. Here's one that obvious if you're going to discuss ''1080p'': OLED. Trumps any kind of display your phone has. No display comes to par with OLED - the color detail and black levels are unmatched.

Yeah, it's nothing to exactly be touting.
I keep an external battery on me at all times. My phone is always dying on me with the constant use I put on. So even if, say, the Vita or 3DS dies on me - I always have power. And it's never like I'm away from a source either.

It's guaranteeing no screen tear. How is not a good thing? Every decent fighter has vsync on platforms like the PS3 and 360.

Ruin is now called Warrior's Lair.
Right now it is TBA. Doubt it will make the launch window.
However there is a Dungeon Hunter Ubisoft game
