am i wrong in assuming that you havent purchase this system yet? if so I was just wondering if you considered going the intel route, with the conroe/allendale out and everything? just wondering... well at any rate its nice too have you on board, and enjoy your stay. allways nice too see a person who is willing too learn

Thanks! Yea, I'm really thinking between the two. I'm kinda waiting for the crossfire conroe boards, or 65nm amd. I'll probably stick with amd, but not sure.
If conroe really does offer major improvements gaming wise, ill probably go with them though. Just kinda an amd fan.

If you were on a really tight budget, you should probably get AMD. However, Conroe offers a terrific price/performance ratio in the mid and high range.

And this isn't just for encoding and whatnot. This is for games as well.

Kind of a reversal right? I remember AMD's used to be cheap and still managed to outperform the P4 for the same price. Well now Intel's finally decided to wake up. Good thing for us consumers
