One of them, Gran Turismo HD: Classic, will ship with no cars, all of them will be purchased via micro transactions.
Don't buy this. What the hell are you going to do with a racing game that has no cars? Let them know they can't do this sort of crap. After months of no one buying it they will learn a lesson.

Quote:
Gran Turismo HD: Premium, will ship with two courses and 30 cars, with an additional 30 cars and an additional two courses online at a later date.
This is the premium? It better be a $19.95 game for two whole courses I mean yeah, great it's got 30 more cars than the classic version but how many times can you really stand to do two courses? Ok well 4 courses and 60 cars once you download them later next year.

don't be misunderstood...

GT HD will be GT4 but ONLINE, you'll get the game for about 15$ then you buy the car you want ( 1$ each ) and tracks ( 1 $ ).

that is just to buy time to finish the making of GT5

Well 1Up dont have all the info...

Gamespot have played both versions.

Quote:
The biggest news on Gran Turismo HD is that the game will be split into two portions, known as Gran Turismo HD Premium and Gran Turismo HD Classic. The significant differences between the two "sides" of the game are extensive, not just in quantity but in terms of visual quality. First let's talk numbers. Gran Turismo HD Premium will feature 30 cars and two tracks, all of which have been modeled from the ground at a level of visual fidelity that simply hasn't been approached in the game before. As Yamauchi told us, modeling cars for the HD Premium version of the game takes roughly six months for each one, and the models themselves are composed of tens of thousands of polygons (as opposed to merely the thousands that compose those found in GT HD Classic).
As you might expect, the Classic version of GT HD will feature the "quantity" side of the equation--more than 750 cars, 51 tracks, and thousands of downloadable items. All of the assets in the game will come from data supplied from previous GT games, all upgraded for high-definition presentation. Essentially GT HD Classic will be a compilation of previous Gran Turismo games presented in HD quality.

I like the idea of being able to just have the cars you want...YESSIR!
Although there shouldn't be limitations on the mods to your rides.
If they could let you do "junkman" like NFSU...it would truelly be the best game around for racing.
I'll pay a dollar or 2 for the Vertigo and a F1 car...

this can be a good thing though, because they can give a endless supply of tracks and cars through downloadble purchases if they wanted too.

But the total cost for everything would be ubsurd. They better be the most amazing cars and tracks i've ever played in a video game.
they said that if you want all the cars and tracks it is going to cost you like $900 bucks. now that is just crazy.

it will always be the same tracks...because they take real tracks to make the game...they just change the cars and update the gfx and details...So don't be surprised if you see the same tracks in all GT games
