Issue w/ SSD as master and HDD as slave - Page 3

well, as it goes right now. i've done all your immediately after install and optimizations after install, right now im defragging w/ that program trumpet was so kind enough to provide 3hrs 22 min in only about 32% done =/ so when that's over i'll give her a good ole restart and see just where we stand. i would like to avoid a reinstall if possible

ok, so i did the defrag, didn't help anything. right now im full formatting my hdd. my question is, since my ssd is working fine and that's where my os is would a reinstall of windows even do anything? and if it would, could someone please explain to me how reinstalling windows on drive A effects the performance of drive B

No idea. Can you download CrystalDiskInfo and post a screenshot on your HDD SMART?

so i ended up formatting the hdd after the defrag finished. and the format got all the way through before it said that it failed. so i then quick formatted the hdd and now everything seems to be working perfectly
