Purchased Fc-9 on Black Friday, Is is legit?

Thread Starter
So after reviewing this whole Lamptron vs, G -vans I started to reconsider, and the product was purchased, on one of the mentioned web sites, So it got me thinking, Did I get a "fake". Two things I felt where "right" about the controler was the throttle seem kind of flimsy and not exactly perpendicular, but by only a small margin.

Also (see spoiler for pic) The parts circled in the picture where bent in different angles, I "unbent 2 of them but decided to leave the others "as is" as I don't to break something that might not be broken, ( I wasn't entirely sure if they where meant to be bent or not)

So how do I tell if this is a legit Lamptron FC-9 controller? I don't want this thing setting my new computer in fire due to shoddy craftsmanship.

I can enclose pictures of my product if that helps. Just send me a PM Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

If it came in a Lamptron box I wouldn't be worried about it. G-VANS products come in their own branded packaging.

From what we know so far, anything that shows up in a Lamptron box, should be a Lamptron product as HAFenvy said. The G-Vans products do have their own box, and so far, don't appear to have shown up in Lamptron boxes. The G-Vans controllers will either have a G-Vans sticker on the face, or no marking at all. All of the Lamptron controllers say Lamptron on the front. We have not yet discovered any specifically being sold as Lamptron with markings and all.

Check the back of your controller compared to the PCBs on FrozenCPU. Unless there are multiple versions, you should be able to spot pretty quickly, which one you got. Note the extra ICs on the G-Vans controller.

For all intents and purposes, if it came within a Lamptron labeled box, I have to warranty it, so it is indeed Lamptron. You can also identify the product based on the ID tag which should be stuck over the molex connector.

I had the same issues with mine, but I have no doubts about it being legitimate.
I've seen these two build quality issues mentioned on a review. The controller initially worked fine. However, the 1st slide "throttle" started to become very rubbery and didn't slide well after a few days, so I removed the FC-9 and replaced it with an NZXT controller.
