Yep. Go for Core 2 Duo.

What is the total budget you have in mind for a rig?

The Corsair RAM... is that DDR2 800? If so, you're all set with that. Even DDR2 667 would be ok for now, but that might limit your overclock with an Annandale or Core 2 Duo chip.

Given your current set up, I'd recomment a high end motherboard, and my favorite two picks would be the Asus P5W DH Deluxe (Crossfire) or the Asus P5B Deluxe (dual PCI-E slots, but no official Crossfire/SLI support). Also, the (expensive) Asus P5W64 WS Professional seems to be a very good board that is able to achieve very high FSB speeds.

LoL no save your money and get the e6600 and then with your saved cash buy some outstanding ram and a nice water setup.

The only thing the e6700 (multi of 10) and the x6800 (unlocked) have going for them is better multi range but as more an more mobos come out with higher FSB ratings its becomming less and less important.

Yeah the Corsair is DDR 800,and my budget is about 3200.With the updated specs I have it sits RIGHT inside that range.Well I would buy a water set-up but at this point I move around alot so thats not practical,I'm about to go active duty Army.

Looking at your stuff.... it's a shame to get a 19" monitor.

I recommend to save on the CPU. Get the E6600. Plenty fast and a good overclocker. Then, get the Asus P5W DH Deluxe, and a nice monitor. The CPU will save you $200, which gives you about $500 for a really nice screen.

This 24" Acer is likely too expensive, but hey, why not

This Samsung looks nice

However, there are actually nice 20" monitors with a resolution of 1680x1050 that are cheaper than your original pick:
