recommend a RAID card compat. with X58 Gigabyte mobo..

as per title.. I've been reading around & alot of Gigabyte mobo owners (like myself - UD7) have incompatibility issues

I tried my M1015 / 9240-8i & got this:

"No physical memory is available at the location required for the Windows Boot Manager. The system can not continue."

anyone have any alternative suggestions?

A couple of options:

1) Find out the mapping of the edge connectors on the M1015, and cover the SMBus pins with tape or nail varnish. That might do the trick; it works for the PERC 5i and PERC 6i.

2) Try an IBM BR10i or a Dell SAS 6/iR. I have the Dell in my sig. rig and it works fine, with no modifications.
