Still in love with my Puretrak Talent personally.

I use a Talent as well and I really like it, that being said, it's going to come down to how much friction/glide you want, whether you want cloth/plastic, and how much room you have for a mouse pad.

Preference.

I use a late 2011 version of the Goliathus speed. Great pad, but could be slightly thicker.

How are you liking it? I've been thinking about switching to a pad with more friction than my Talent, is the Goliathus Speed a logical choice?

Try steelseries SP, it's known as one of the best pads for optical mouse.

QCK for 9.99 or if you can do a big one get a QCK+

I have had my QCK+ for quite awhile now and its holding up better than any other mouse pad I have owned. Its a very nice quality cloth.
The QCK+ is only 14.99

It's actually faster than my talent from 2009. That's "worn out" though.
