Hi, I was trying to flash my Sapphire 6950 2gb Dirt 3 Edition to 6970 but

I messed one bios, and when i tried to recover it by switching bios while my computer was running, i messed the other one.

I tried atiflash with dos command but i got an error "adapter not found"

and i tried the bios bypass thing, also didn't work

Is there a way to fix my card or is it down forever ?

Please need help as i'm selling my computer in couple of days =(

Thanks

Don't worry, use this flag to force flash using atiflash;

"atiflash -f -newbios -p 0 biosname.bin"

This ^

Good thing you're still getting a display from that card. Don't worry much about it for you can still re-flash it. Worse come to worst, you might have put another video card for blind gpu flashing.

In this case, put the GTS 250 on PCIe slot one and the 6950 on PCIe slot 2

Try this command;

atiflash -i

this will display all ati cards installed and the port numbers.

Flip the BIOS switch to #2

  1. Boot up computer with BIOS #2.
  2. Switch to BIOS #1 when Win 7 splash screen shows up.
  3. Use RBE to force flash BIOS #2 into BIOS #1.
  4. Reset computer and put BIOS #1.
  5. BIOS #1 is back to original stock.

To attempt unlocking shaders;

  1. Copy the BIOS #2 ROM.
  2. Use RBE to modify copy of BIOS #2 ROM > unlock to 6970 shaders > save it as "6970.rom".
  3. Flash the modified copied BIOS 2 "6970.rom" to BIOS #1 using "atiflash".
  4. Boot up with switch on BIOS #1.
  5. Check using GPU-Z if the card has extra sharders unlocked.
  6. Done.
