What are some things to "like to have" in a 2011/2012 power supply?

Thread Starter
I am putting together a $2000 dollar rig for a customer and I was just wondering what criteria should there be when choosing a power supply? What functions/features should it have? I don't want to buy a lemon and then have to rebuild the thing. Thanks guys.thumb.gif

Modular would be your best bet because its good for cable management and you only plug in what you need

You want to be looking at.

Corsair
Antec
Seasonic

for your best bets of having a non lemon one smile.gif

Try and go for a higher voltage one if you can afford it because it gives more headroom for adding additional stuff.

Modular to assist in cable management, 80 Plus gold power supplies are also more efficient, reducing power costs.
Also look for power supplies with a long warranty.
