I really don't care as long as I get my game.

I use both because they both work right?

As long as you get to play your game/s I don't see the problem with Origin and why people bag it so much. It would be nice if games on EA/Origin weren't EA exclusive but I guess us customers just have to deal with it.

If I had to rate them though, I would rate Steam higher.

Steam: 9/10

Origin: 7/10

Don't get me wrong, I think Origin is very well made but I hate that we need it, and I hate EA with a passion. The more annoying thing is they knew they could get away with it.

I ONLY use Origin for BF3, i highly doubt ill buy any other games through EA, i just don't like it. It seems like its a beta version when i am using it. good thing is, once i run bf3 and it opens up the web browser is close it out and it sits quietly in the quick launch on my task bar. If im playing bf3 i keep the window open, if i close the window i just pull it up through firefox where i have the login page favortied so i dont have to open origin everytime i want to play bf3.

I love steam, except for when it goes down, or has problems, its smooth, and i like it the best. the friends list and private mesage systems are awesome imho and i never find a reason to complain about them.

i did however vote for the option "I really don't care as long as I get my game."

I use both. The only thing i hate about Origin is that every time I even change video cards in my system I have to get on online chat help to get them to add more usage to my serial code. And I guess every time they just add one more usage privilege to my code. Cuz I do this very often. And it always takes them at least 30 min to figure out. So I guess if you keep all your settings and dont format, or change hardware in your system often Steam is better. Other then that, Origin, well, is EA games and Steam is everything else.

I actually wanted it when I first started PC gaming on my laptop. My friend was chatting with me on Skype one day and he asked if I wanted to play some old free-to-play game and then he started telling me about all the stuff that Steam can do. tongue.gif

I've no doubt there are cases like that for both, more for Steam obviously as its a lot more developed but what I said still stands true if you were PC gaming when Half Life 2 was released on PC.
