I use to use mse but recently switched to norton for a better all-in-one solution because I have kids that use my computer. I also have mcaffee all access and kaspursky pure because im in retail and get them for free(norton was free too)

i dont use it.... its not 100% effective anyways. i havent had a virus in many years, but every once in awhile i get something and run a scan just to be on the safe side..... as someone said earlier, smart habits keep ya nice and clean for the most part

a) Antivirus slows down PC
b) Slow PC=bad
c) i format/build new system bi-weekly lachen.gif ..sure i'm not the only one here.....

As much as I want to agree with you, I can't. Here's the reason why...

A. With modern systems, a Anti Virus will hardly affect your performance unless a scan is actually going on.
B. True :]
C. I format, not bi-weekly though, that's a little too much. I format about every 2-3 months.

I haven't used one since 2004. Since then I've only gotten 4 viruses (each time I've formatted my HD, since I back up my HD it was no sweat to re install everything thumb.gif).
Yet some people I know use a anti-virus program and they get a virus every two weeks rolleyes.gif
