Small, Depressing, Update.
So I killed my motherboard and ram in one shot. And the bad part is, it happened after I was done testing super high oc speeds, and had taken it back to 4.2 with speed step on, at stock voltages:eh-smiley
Mailed out my ram for rma today, and replaced the mobo, and got a pair of memory dimms to hold me over until I get me other memory back.
First motherboard was a asus p68z68 pro-m. which kept defaulting back to ahci, no matter what I tried. So I switched that out for an asus p8z68-vlx. which seems to be working well, aside from the fact that this kingston hyperx 2x4gb c9 1600 which will not run with both dimms in no matter what config I set them in. So I am just going to end up taking these back tomorrow and getting corsair memory again and am strongly leaning towards buying a psu while I'm at it, as this one is nearing the three year mark, and was planning on getting a new one shortly after setting up the wc loop
This build is turning out to be much trouble.
Which seems to me like it is going to end in an entirely new build outside of hdd's
update. Went and got a sparkle(great wall) 1000w modular, and traded out the hyperx for 1.5v c9 corsair 2x2kit and I'm still having issues with getting them to run together. So, with that being said, the only thing left on this build that Is old is the processor and the hdd. So in another hour or so Ill be taking this cpu back, and getting a new one. Hope it oc's half as well as this one did. Edited by jesusboots - 2/11/12 at 8:25am
