H67 vs Z68 SATA 3 controller

Thread Starter
since im building a budget computer at microcenter and their out of stock in the H61 board i want..
im forced to buy the H67 version but i dont need the extra features.

ok im wondering if the H67 raid 0 is slower then the Z68 raid 0 for sata 3. (using sata 3 SSDs)

its just $20 more for z68. using a 2100 cpu so z68 is kind of a waste but the price is right.

Z68 offers later expandability should you chose to do that (i.e. going to a 2500k), but no the SATA isn't going to be any faster - also remember with micro center, you get $50 off any 1155 board with the purchase of a 2500k which makes the 2500k only $20 more expensive than the 2100... just something to ponder smile.gif
