It failed?

The test passed at 110%. Prime didn't last an hour.

right...we want to single out the memory

superpi is a memory loading benchmark....just select calculate then 32m

sisoftware has a free program...select the one that says download at the bottom...you will want to use the memory benchmark
http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/?d=&f=downandbuy&l=en&a=

again the idea is to test mamory to see if it does anything wierd or fails...or benchmarks really low showing instability

I'm not sure what a bad mem score is. It's doing fairly well on this run, I'm doing p95 right now and I'll let you know if it fails. Then I will try more mem tests.

blend in p95 stresses ram the most i beleive

i guess from here the only thing to do would be to back off overclock settings to see if that cures it...still strange that it went that length of time before failing and the way it fails (shut down)

Make sure your CPU Current Capability is set to 140%. Make both "Phase Control" & "Duty Control" are both set to "Extreme". Also make sure the VRM Frequency is set to manual with a setting of "350".

Be sure to set all of these settings, do not gimp out and only set some of them. It will be perfectly safe, trust me.

After that you shouldn't have any issues, and if you do then it is possible your PSU is failing or your VRM's are failing. When a computer just simply shuts off without any BSOD it is usually VRM or PSU related. thumb.gif

If it fails again the other setting that comes to mind is PLL Overvoltage, which should be enabled at higher clocks. Let us know what happens.

It failed after 7 hours and 13 min. I'm done with overclocking, too many problems.

It's not that bad man. Clear your cmos, read this post/quide http://www.overclock.net/t/968053/official-the-sandy-stable-club-guides-voltages-temps-bios-templates-inc-spreadsheet/2240#post_14466483, and give it another shot. We'll help you get it worked out.
