Water cooling plan. Any Help/Ideas?

Hi guys I'm in the middle of planning my loop for my build that I'm going to be doing in the CaseLabs M8 later on in the year. Doing the plan now do it doesn't conflict with school rolleyes.gif

Anyway I'll post more ideas soon. Heres the First:

390

Order: Reservoir > Pump > 360 Radiator no.1 > 360 Radiator no.2 > Quick Disconnect > Cpu Block > Quick Disconnect > GPU Block 1 > GPU Block 2 > Quick Disconnect > Reservoir > Repeat.

The Quick disconnects are in there so I still have the Removable Motherboard Tray feature without having to take the entire loop apart and so I can take the GPU's of the motherboard.

What I don't really know about is going from the GPU's back to the Reservoir. Can the coolant flow from the bottom of the 2nd GPU to the reservoir that is up above?

Could I please get some suggestions on other ways i can set up the loop?

And is 360mm Enough to cool these:

(I know that these products aren't released yet, didn't I say that this build was going to be done later on in the year?)

-i7 3770K (IVY BRIDGE)
-Radeon HD 7950's in Crossfire (NOT RELEASED YET)

One final Question. Reference design GPU's are the ones I need to buy? Do water blocks fit on NON-Reference cards? Sorry but its my first time tongue.gif

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! biggrin.gif

you might want to think about getting another rad in there, the most i would ask a 360 rad to do is a cpu and a single graphics card. i would suggest since your using the Case Lab's M8 and have the space 2 360 rads would be good.

also while there are some non-reference cards that accept full cover waterblocks it isnt really worth it. reference cards have voltage control.

Haha, there is 2 360 Radiators in there, both in the tops of the case sides. I don't know how much Radiator is needed for these, the 3770k is 77W TDP and the 7950 is supposed to have less power draw then the 7970, but still don't know anything on the 7950. Ah, so reference it is. Voltage control means more O/Cing! biggrin.gif Thanks a lot!

Oh and BTW, anyone who asks about why the UD5 is pictured in there, its a dummy for the real board I'm looking to use, the Gigabyte Sniper 3 Z77!

ohhhhhh now i understand your picture. even though HD7950 is meant to be cooler running that 6950/70 its still quite a heat pump when you compare it to other parts of your system you may want to water cool. it really comes down to what you want to do with the system, and what your expecting out of your watercooling loop. a single 360 rad would work with a cpu and two graphics cards but you can forget overclocking, and your load and idle temps would be worst or as good as stock cooling.

have you thought about splitting the loop? having one of the 360 rads for the cpu on a single loop and the other 360 rad on another loop for the cards? you have enough space to do it and that would be the ideal setup.
